6 things to consider when setting artist booking prices:

  1. how many years have you been playing your instrument or singing including training and studying
  2. if you have a degree in music
  3. how many years you have been performing (including time spent in front of people)
  4. set up and take down time
  5. how many hours you are playing
  6. how many people are in your group
Pricing yourself can be tricky especially since music is an intangible and it can be hard to measure for the person paying. Keep in mind that “the right customer will value what you do” and will not haggle over pricing with you.
