How can you make sure that you’re doing the right marketing strategy for your music career to move forward — get more listeners, get more fans and know what’s right for you? There are two ways that we waste our valuable resources of time and money.
1.  First, we try to do marketing that is not right for the stage of our music career.
Lots of times we copy what other artists are doing on different social media platforms like Tiktok, Instagram or other social media. Those artists may be at different levels in their career as we are. Instead of keeping our eyes at our own level, we tend to look high up at others on how they’re doing but they’re way farther ahead of you. We tend to get distracted at what’s happening with them instead of focusing on my own level. We cannot just copy them then reach that same level because before they reached that point, they’ve been doing a lot of work in the background. You cannot jump up the ladder but you have to put in the work in each of our own level.
If you struggle to build your fanbase, you definitely want to register for my upcoming workshop, “How to Attract Your 1000 True Fans Without Wasting Valuable Time on the Wrong Marketing Tactics“. We’ll cover the big mistakes artists make when trying to turn listeners into fans and I’ll show you my 5 Stage Blueprint on Music Career Growth. It’s all happening live on Thursday, Feb 18 at 12 nn EST / 9 am PST / 5 pm UK. To register, go to musiciansprofitpath.com/live. It’s free, interactive and you’re gonna learn a ton.
2.  The other thing I see other artists doing is that they are trying to move forward a bunch of initiatives at once.
Every shiny object they see that other people are doing, they put it on their to do list. There are a lot of things that can take our focus away. You tend to start doing one thing then you think about starting another one. So you end up starting a lot of things but not really completing anything and not reaching any of your goals. It’s like you trying to get to the other side of the bridge but you start building a bridge and hop onto building a new one again until you have a lot of bridges you started, but you didn’t really get to finish one and reach the other side which is your goal. If you get hyped up and get into that hustle mentality, do not get distracted.
What I want to do is give you a strategy that will allow you to build that same bridge until you get to the other side. That’s what I’m going to talk about in my upcoming workshop, “How To Attract Your 1,000 True Fans Without Wasting Valuable Time & Money on Marketing That Doesn’t Work”.
