What Is Profit Anyway (It’s Not What You Think)

I’m back with another episode where I read one of our emails. If you are not yet on our email list, join us at profitablemusician.com/join so you can receive emails three times a week where I tell you how to become profitable in just three minutes or less.

Today, I’m talking about the email entitled “What Is Profit Anyway (It’s Not What You Think)”. Our Profitable Musician brand mission is to help musicians make a profit (duh!), but what does it actually mean to be profitable?

If you are a musician who thinks you couldn’t make money from music, or you shouldn’t make money from music, or I don’t need to make money from music, profit does not need to relate to money. Profit basically means to put more than you put in. We could be talking about anything that you want to amplify. It could be time, resources, relationships, anything. My goal is to teach strategies that amplify anything you put in your career so you get a positive return. For example, I help with productivity, so you can get more results with the time you spend in music. I teach marketing strategies that will give you an exponential return on the time that you invest because they are proven tactics. I am cutting the learning curve for you so you can double down on things that work the best and ditch the rest.

Even if you did not earn a dollar from music this year, if you follow what I teach on my podcast and in my programs, you should still consider it a profitable year. Just like the law of compounding interest, each small deposit of profit into your music career has a snowball effect. You can observe massive growth by the end of a longer period of time. So you keep reading and I’ll keep making deposits to feed your music career snowball.
